211: The Missing Piece – a guided meditation and soothing story

Pete the Puzzle is missing a piece and worries that the kids won’t be able to enjoy playing anymore. What will he do?

The Missing Piece Show Excerpt:

Peering outside through the living room window Pete the Puzzle could tell it was a day just for him. The sky was grey and the wind whistled through the trees.  The kids would want to stay in and do something where they could be toasty and warm.  There was just one problem.

 

The relaxing puzzle was missing a piece.  Pete worried what would happen when the kids discovered that they couldn’t finish the puzzle. How would they know what the picture was?  Pete wished he knew where that piece had disappeared to.  He didn’t have much time to figure it out before he was picked up off the shelf.  One of the boys had decided it was indeed a good day for a puzzle.

 

The little boy carried Pete over to a table where his brother waited.  He opened the puzzle box, and out tumbled the puzzle pieces. Pete watched as some of the pieces slid off the table and onto the floor, thinking, maybe that’s how the piece got lost in the first place.  The boys stooped down and picked up the puzzle pieces that had landed on the floor, placing them back on the table.

 

“How do you want to start?”  One of the boys asked the other.
