The Parrot Pirate Excerpt:

Whisps of white clouds drifted across the bright blue sky. They slowly changed to pink as the sun set. The boats smiled as they gazed up, rocking peacefully in their slips. Then Teagan the tugboat said, “Hey what’s that?” Sandy the sailboat looked over and saw a colorful bird zig-zagging their way.

“It’s a parrot.” Sandy responded as the parrot landed. The parrot was bright red with blue and yellow feathers on its wings and a patch of black feathers over one eye. Manny the motorboat was the first to welcome the bird.  “Welcome to the boat docks! I’m Manny.”

“Yarrrr me hearties. I be Pendelton “Zig Zag” Parrot.” The parrot answered as he landed on the dock.  “And I be needing a shipshape crew to take me out yonder to find me booty.”
