It’s nearly show time for Rogelio, Helen and Brianna. So, Rogelio searches for a spot in the park to rehearse their original dragon play.

Show Time Excerpt:
Rogelio scanned the park for a good spot to practice their play. He walked past the playground. Laughter filled the air as kids ran past Rogelio on their way to the swings. He watched as the kids propelled the swings higher and higher. Rogelio smiled and began to dart over to the swings. Then he stopped and reminded himself that he would be able to play on the swings another time. After all, Rogelio was excited to practice their play. His friends were eager to see what he had been working on with Brianna and Helen. So, Rogelio stepped away from the swings and told himself that now he had checked out the playground. There would not be enough room to practice, and they would be interrupted frequently by kids running through.
As Rogelio stepped off of the playground, he noticed an open field. That looked like plenty of space! Rogelio ran to the field. They would have all kinds of room there. He just knew Brianna and Helen would love it! Before Rogelio reached the field, another group of kids raced onto the field and began kicking a ball around. Rogelio stopped, his shoulders dropped down, disappointed. He took a deep dragon breath in and out. He realized that the field was a ball field. Oh well, there would be another place for them to practice.
