328. The New Project: a bedtime story and meditation for kids

The construction crew has a new project. They are excited to be building a bridge with their new teammate a confident crane.

Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new story this week. Now, welcome to Favorite Friday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Please enjoy “The New Project” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday!

Narrator: Female

Story Begins: 11:02

The New Project Excerpt:

A light bulb clicked on in Ellie the excavator’s garage. She blinked, and rumbled her engine, feeling a little surprised to be awakened so early. “Sorry Ellie. We have a lot of work to do, so I’m waking everyone up early.” The contractor said. Ellie’s garage door rolled up and she stretched and rolled out to the meeting place. Outside was a vehicle she hadn’t met before.

“Hello, I’m Ellie.” Ellie welcomed the new vehicle.

“Hi, I’m Connor.” The crane answered. “You look a little like me, but your arm bends down towards the ground.”

Ellie replied with a laugh, “I was going to say, you look like me but your arm stands straight up.”

Eventually Ellie and Connor were joined by: Danny and Dory the dump trucks; Ronald the Roller; and Dizzy the Cement Mixer. Dizzy perked right up when she noticed a new face. “Hi! I’m Dizzy? What’s your name? You’re really going to like it here. We all get along really well. I hope I get a chance to work with you soon. I only really get to do the projects when we need to use concrete. Ellie and Danny are lucky. They get to be a part of almost every single project. What did you say your name was?”
