Rickety Raft Excerpt:
It was a sunny afternoon on Ahway Island. The rain had finally stopped, and the sky was a brilliant blue. The air was fresh, and the scent of blooming flowers filled the backyard of the Stein family home. The sun stretched across the lawn. Mike smiled as he looked out over the yard. This was perfect weather for playing outside, and his friends Ian and Anora were here to share it with him!
Inside the house, Mike’s dad was finishing up the dishes after a delicious lunch. He watched the kids through the kitchen window, smiling as he saw them gather in the backyard. Mike’s older sister, Rachael, was also outside, lounging on a lawn chair with her nose buried in a book.
Today’s Meditation: Relax as you imagine sunlight warming you as you lie in a grassy meadow.
