A Thoughtful Gift: a child’s mindful story and relaxation

James is so relieved to have his blanket back he wants to make a blanket for Dragon. All the kids love the idea and soon they are all busy with a thoughtful gift.

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 8:08

Narrator: Female

A Thoughtful Gift Story Excerpt:

James and Julia quickly spread the word about Dragon’s blanket. Before long there was a line of kids holding t-shirts at their door. Rogelio shared his favorite red shirt, that was now too small. Then Brianna shared her striped orange shirt. Mia shared the sunny yellow t-shirt that made everyone smile, and Owen shared his super soft green shirt. Owen gave the old shirt one last hug and handed the it to James. Anora shared her favorite blue t-shirt and Billy shared his purple one. Soon there was a pile of shirts in the family room. James smiled and said, “I think we have enough now. Now I need to figure out how to make a blanket.”

Laughter in the Sun: kids’ relaxation and story

Laughter in the Sun: kids’ relaxation and story

Sara the slide loves the laughter in the sun as the children play with her and feels a little sad when they go to the swing set instead. Will they return?

Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new story, “Terrific Toys”, Monday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again, so now we have “Favorite Friday.” Please enjoy “Laughter in the Sun,” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday!

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 11:27

Narrator: Female

Laughter in the Sun Story Excerpt:

The twisty slide was happy to see the children.  They ran right to Sara, and climbed right up to the top of the slide.  They giggled as they slid down the slide, one at a time.  When both children reached the bottom, they climbed up to the top of the slide again.  Sara was so happy to have the children playing around her.
After the third time sliding down the twists and turns, the children ran over to Savannah Swing set.  Savannah was just as excited as Sara to see the children, and was happy that, now, they were swinging with her.  The swings zipped back and forth, higher and higher.  As the twisty slide watched the children play with the swing set, she felt a little sad.  Sara wanted more time to play with the children.  She sighed and took a deep dragon breath in and out (deep breath). The twisty slide realized that she was happy for her friend Savannah.  The swing set enjoyed playing with the children too.  After breathing and thinking, Sara the twisty slide was sure that the children would come back and play with her again.  She just needed to wait.

The New Project Story Excerpt:

While the construction vehicles shared their guesses as to what the new project might be the contractor joined them. “Good morning, everyone. I hope you’ve introduced yourselves to Connor the Crane.  He’s the newest member of our crew and will be especially helpful in our new project. We are building a bridge! This will take a lot of time effort, and cooperation. For today, Ellie, we’ll need you to clear out an area for the foundation. Danny and Dory, you’ll haul the dirt away. Dizzy you’ll be busy making the piles for the bridge, and Connor you’ll put them in place and then secure them. Ronald we’ll need you later.”  Then with a smile the Contractor said. “OK! Let’s get started.”

Waters of Wonder: a mindful kids’ story

Waters of Wonder: a mindful kids’ story

The spring sun warms the world. Fish bask in the warm rays of the sun, little fish, big fish, and biggest, all relaxing in the waters of wonder.

Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new story, “Friendly Fish”, Monday and “Love Is..” on Wednesday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again, so now we have “Favorite Friday.” Please enjoy “Waters of Wonder” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday!

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 8:49

Narrator: Female

Waters of Wonder Story Excerpt:

The little fish opened her eyes and noticed that now many small fish had joined her.  They had all found their way to the warm sunshine.  Falala smiled, and watched as one by one they relaxed, fins softly hanging in the water.  Falala realized the sunbeam had grown.  It was almost as if the sun was slowly extending the hug to every creature in the lake.  Falala noticed some bigger fish had arrived in the light.  At first, Falala thought she should tell the other small fish so they all could leave.  The little fish watched as the bigger fish relaxed into the sun’s energy, and it didn’t take long for her to realize the bigger fish were just basking in the sun as well.

Today’s Meditation: Deep dragon breaths are a key part of this guided meditation as you relax your body from your toes up to the top of your head.

Love Is…: a soothing bedtime story and relaxation

Love Is…: a soothing bedtime story and relaxation

It’s bedtime and Mia has a question for her mom. She wonders what love is, and how she can share her love with others. Find out what she learns.

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 8:06

Narrator: Female

Love Is Story Excerpt:

“Then Mia asked, “How do you know if someone loves you? I know we say I love you. Are there other ways to know?”

Mia’s mom smiled and said, “If you watch and listen, you can see lots of ways.”

Mia sat up and asked, “How?”

Her mom responded, “People and animals show they care in lots of ways. Kids might invite you to play. A puppy or kitty might wait for you to walk in the door after school. You might see a cat feeding and snuggling with a little duckling along with all her kittens.”

Mia looked puzzled and asked, “A cat would take care of a different animal?”

Mia’s mom nodded. “Yes, that’s part of what makes it love. Doing something for someone, especially when you don’t have to, or when caring for them may even be difficult.”

Meditation Description: Feel your body fill with warmth and love as you send your loving energy to the world.

Picnic Parade: a relaxing kids’ meditation and bedtime story

Picnic Parade: a relaxing kids’ meditation and bedtime story

Celebrate International Picnic Day with this story. Ada the ant leads her friends in a picnic parade to a basket filled with goodies. The ants carry their own picnic back home.

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 6:43
Narrator: Female

Picnic Parade Story Excerpt:

Ada’s job was to scout out good sources of food. So, where should she go today? The little ant decided to follow the cloud. Maybe she would find something new. The little ant trotted across the forest floor over rocks, under logs, and around trees, until she came to a grassy plain. There was something new there. Ada tiptoed cautiously onto a soft red square. Then the little ant stepped onto the white square next to it. The white square was just as soft as the red square. The checkered cloth extended in front of Ada all the way under a large basket. Ada wondered what was inside.

Meditation Description: Today, enjoy the feeling of your body relaxing into the warm sand on a sunny beach.
