Love Is…: a soothing bedtime story and relaxation

Love Is…: a soothing bedtime story and relaxation

It’s bedtime and Mia has a question for her mom. She wonders what love is, and how she can share her love with others. Find out what she learns.

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 8:06

Narrator: Female

Love Is Story Excerpt:

“Then Mia asked, “How do you know if someone loves you? I know we say I love you. Are there other ways to know?”

Mia’s mom smiled and said, “If you watch and listen, you can see lots of ways.”

Mia sat up and asked, “How?”

Her mom responded, “People and animals show they care in lots of ways. Kids might invite you to play. A puppy or kitty might wait for you to walk in the door after school. You might see a cat feeding and snuggling with a little duckling along with all her kittens.”

Mia looked puzzled and asked, “A cat would take care of a different animal?”

Mia’s mom nodded. “Yes, that’s part of what makes it love. Doing something for someone, especially when you don’t have to, or when caring for them may even be difficult.”

A Royal Kitten’s Bliss: a meditation and calming bedtime story

Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new story, Show Time, Monday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again, so now we have “Favorite Friday.” Please enjoy A Royal Kitten’s Bliss, and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday!
Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 8:52
Narrator: Male

A Royal Kitten’s Bliss Story Excerpt:

Prince Grey Kitty slowly rolled back onto his tummy and stretched his front paws out as far as he could. The little kitty arched his back and sat down.  Now it was time to tidy up, and Prince Grey Kitty took his time cleaning one soft paw.  As he picked up his other paw to clean, the little kitty noticed, out of the corner of his green eyes, a flickering light on the ceiling.  What was it?  Prince Grey Kitty stopped licking his fur and tilted his head to one side and then the other.   He was trying to observe the moving pattern of light on the ceiling from every possible angle.

The little kitty wondered if the glittering light could talk.  He meowed, and then waited to see what would happen.  The twinkling light was quiet.  Maybe it hadn’t heard him. Prince Grey Kitty meowed again a little bit louder.  Still there was no sound from the dancing light.  There had to be some way to get the light’s attention.

Meditation Description: Deep dragon breaths are a key part of this guided meditation as you relax your body from your toes up to the top of your head.

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 8:24

Then Kian noticed someone hopping off to his side. The koala turned to see a kangaroo bouncing along. The kangaroo stood still for a moment to check out the area. As she did, a baby kangaroo peeked out of her pouch.  “Look Kiera, a joey kangaroo!” Kian said. The Joey hopped out of his mother’s pouch and both kangaroos began to nibble on the grass. After their tummies were full, the bouncy marsupials settled in for a little rest as well.

Five Little Fish: a children’s bedtime story and meditation

Five Little Fish: a children’s bedtime story and meditation

Five little fish explore the sea, just outside their colorful coral home. They swim up towards the water’s surface. What will they find?

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 8:38
Narrator: Male
Five Little Fish Story Excerpt:

The five little fish decided to go explore away from their colorful coral beds. Fish one led the way through a maze of softly swaying sea plants. The five little fish emerged from the plants and admired the wide open sea ahead of them. A shadow floated over the five little fish. Curious to see what was blocking the sun, the five little fish looked up. The shadow seemed to use four flippers to effortlessly flow through the water. Fish two decided to get a closer look and zipped up towards the gentle animal. Immediately, fish two recognized the animal and then zipped back to share the discovery with the others. “It’s a sea turtle! Let’s go play!” Fish two said. In a flash all the fish happily swam up towards the turtle.

Today’s Meditation: Imagine floating in a tranquil pool, safe and relaxed, as the water rocks you gently.

A Fuzzy Friend: a kid’s relaxation and bedtime story

Helen and Brianna go outside to play. They find a fuzzy friend in the backyard. What will they learn from the fuzzy wuzzy caterpillar?

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 9:01
Narrator: Female

A Fuzzy Friend Story Excerpt:
Brianna looked out the window.  The sun was shining brightly.  “It’s really nice outside. Why don’t we play in the yard?” she said.
“Great!” Helen said, and both girls headed out the back door to play.  They started on the swing set.  Talking and laughing, the girls rocked the swings back and forth, higher and higher.  Soon Helen and Brianna were nearly as high as they could go, so the girls began to slow down. The swings moved back and forth, lower and lower until they were almost still.  Brianna and Helen hopped off the swings.  “Let’s go exploring!” Helen said.
Brianna grinned and nodded her head in agreement. The two girls headed towards the back of the yard where there was some taller grass and more trees.  “There’s usually something back here.”  Helen said.  “I’ve found butterflies, toads, and snakes.”
“Cool!” Brianna said. “I wonder what we’ll find today?”

Today’s Meditation: Today, notice loving energy flowing through your body, from your feet up to your head.

Soaring in the Sky: a relaxing meditation and kid’s story

Soaring in the Sky: a relaxing meditation and kid’s story

Hazen Hawk is soaring in the sky and watching what is happening below.  What will he see on the ground below before his nap?

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 6:47
Narrator: Male
Dragon’s New Toy Story Excerpt:

Hazen stretched out his wings and flapped them strongly downward, lifting him off the branch.  The little hawk was off to see what he could see.  He flew up as high as he could.  White fluff gently surrounded him, and then the little hawk was through the clouds.  Above, Hazen could see and feel the bright warm sun.  He looked around at the brilliantly blue sky, and then turned his gaze downward.  Hazen saw the blanket of clouds stretch across the sky, though now there were some open spots where he could see the tiniest patch of earth.  He wondered if the Great Oak was in that sliver of sunlight.  Now warmed by the sun, Hazen decided he would fly a little lower so that he could see what was happening on the ground.

Today’s Meditation: Relax in the grass as you imagine sunlight warming you from head to toe.
