Purchase Power: a mindful children’s tale

Purchase Power: a mindful children’s tale

After weeks of helping out Emily and Billy have filled up their saving jars. Do they have enough Purchase Power to buy the robot kit?

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 7:08
Narrator: Female

Purchase Power Excerpt:

Billy and Emily had earned the money in their jars by saving money they got as birthday gifts and for holidays. They had also been busy helping with extra projects beyond their regular chores. As part of the family they helped with the laundry, dishes, and cleaning the house. Emily and Billy enjoyed helping their mom and dad with the chores. They knew that working together meant that they all would have more time for fun together. So, those tasks were just part of being a family.

To fill up the jars on the shelf, Billy and Emily had to do special projects.  Emily and Billy helped organize the tools in the garage. They helped plant the spring flowers.  They helped weed the vegetable garden. Now the garage was clean and organized. The flower beds were filled with delicate and fragrant flowers. The vegetable garden was tidy with vegetables growing. And Billy and Emily had full savings jars.

The Enchanting Woods: a kids’ meditation and story

The Enchanting Woods: a kids’ meditation and story

Rogelio’s family is going camping. Rogelio would prefer to play with his tablet. How will Rogelio react to the enchanting woods?

Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new story, “Silly Scooters”, Monday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Welcome to Favorite Friday! Please enjoy “The Enchanting Woods” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday!

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 9:01

Narrator: Male

The Enchanting Woods Excerpt:

“Now what do we do?” Rogelio asked.

“We should set up the campfire.  Would you help me carry the wood we got at the ranger’s station?” his dad asked.  Rogelio replied “OK.” as he helped his dad carry the firewood from the fire to the campsite.

Once Rogelio and his dad had carried the firewood to the campsite, his mom and dad started arranging it.  Now, Rogelio decided, it would be a good time to use his tablet.  He opened his bag, and pulled the tablet out.  Rogelio pressed the button.  It was still dark.  Rogelio pushed the button again and it flickered to life… just long enough to tell him that it needed to be recharged.  He had forgotten to charge it, and there was nowhere to plug it in out in the woods.

Today’s Meditation: Deep dragon breaths are a key part of this guided meditation as you relax your body from your toes up to the top of your head.

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 7:01
Narrator: Male

Silly Scooters Excerpt:

The boy sat down on one scooter and began zipping around, and the girl hopped on the other. Su and Skyler smiled, happy to be playing. The two scooters zigged and zagged around each other. As the scooters rolled across the top of the driveway Su noticed they were at the top of a hill and said to Skyler, “Wouldn’t it be fun if we rolled down the hill.”
“Oh, I don’t know Su. We might go too fast. And then how will we get back up. I’d rather stay here.” As Skyler said that, one kid scooted to the edge of the hill with Su, then with a “Whee!!” off they went. Skyler felt afraid to look. However, the boy giggled and rolled to the edge of the hill.

Love Sings: a meditation and bedtime story

Love sings in the enchanted forest as Gerry the Robin shares her gentle melody with her baby birds. Her song relaxes everyone who hears it.

Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new stories, “Bridge Building”, Monday and “Clumsy Kitty, Tuesday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Welcome to Favorite Friday! Please enjoy “Love Sings” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday!

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 7:43

Narrator: Female

Love Sings Excerpt:

One cheerful song came from a thick green bush. Tucked inside its branches was a robin’s nest. The nest was cozy and dry, sheltered by the tight branches and the tough green leaves. The bush protected its treasures and hugged the little nest tight.  No rain would bother Gerry Robin and her eggs.  The little bird took a deep breath in and out (deep breath) and the wonderful song filled the air again.  Gerry Robin was singing to her babies, telling them how much she loved them.  She had three beautiful blue speckled eggs, tucked into the warm little nest.  Gerry smiled as she sang, and the breeze carried the happy melody to everyone in the yard.

A Ticklish Tree: a relaxation and tale for kids

A Ticklish Tree: a relaxation and tale for kids

Opie the Oak tree tries to figure out what the people are up to.  Then they put a swing on his branch and it tickles. Who ever heard of a ticklish tree?

Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new story, “Laugh Out Loud”, Monday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Welcome to Favorite Friday! Please enjoy “A Ticklish Tree” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday!Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 8:43

Narrator: Male

A Ticklish Tree Excerpt:

The four trees were curious to see what the people would do.   The mom and dad carried the rope and board right up to Opie.  Then the people walked around the Oak looking up at his branches.  Opie was proud of his branches. As he watched the people, the Oak noticed they had stopped just below his lowest branch.  It was a good strong branch that stretched straight out.  Then the dad left as the mom gazed at the branch smiling.  Opie wondered what was going on.

Then he saw the dad return with a ladder.  He carried it right up to Opie and set it up just under the branch.  Then the mom handed the dad the end of the rope.  The dad took it and tied it around Opie’s branch with a big sturdy knot.   The Oak felt a funny feeling on his branch.  The rope tickled him.  He began to giggle a little.  Then his leaves began to rustle. Before he knew it, there was another rope tied to his branch.  The same funny sensation traveled to that spot.
“What’s going on Opie?” Pete the Pine asked.  Opie began to laugh so hard he couldn’t answer.

The Magic of Colors: a mindful bedtime story

Lydia is ready for finger painting. She learns the magic of colors with her dad as they blend colors together. What do you think happened?

Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new story, “Happy Dragon”, Monday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Welcome to Favorite Friday! Please enjoy “The Magic of Colors.” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday!

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 9:03

The Magic of Colors Story Excerpt:

He put a glob of red on his paper and then added a glob of yellow.  Where the two colors were closest, he began to draw circles in the paint with his finger.  As a result, the yellow swirled into the red.  The red swirled into the yellow.  With each circle the trails the colors grew thinner. A new color was emerging.  It was orange!
“Wow!” Lydia said. “What other colors can we make?”
“All of them.” Her dad said. “Why don’t you try it out?”

Lydia was excited to try the magic.  She looked at the beautiful orange and decided she would try yellow and blue.  So just like her dad, Lydia dropped a glob of blue and yellow on her paper and drew circles in the paint with her fingers.  The blue swirled into the yellow.  The yellow swirled into the blue.  With each circle the trails of each color grew thinner and a new color was emerging.  It was green!  Soon there was a fluffy green cloud of color on Lydia’s page.  “Your turn.” She said to her dad smiling.
