A Thoughtful Gift: a child’s mindful story and relaxation

James is so relieved to have his blanket back he wants to make a blanket for Dragon. All the kids love the idea and soon they are all busy with a thoughtful gift.

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 8:08

Narrator: Female

A Thoughtful Gift Story Excerpt:

James and Julia quickly spread the word about Dragon’s blanket. Before long there was a line of kids holding t-shirts at their door. Rogelio shared his favorite red shirt, that was now too small. Then Brianna shared her striped orange shirt. Mia shared the sunny yellow t-shirt that made everyone smile, and Owen shared his super soft green shirt. Owen gave the old shirt one last hug and handed the it to James. Anora shared her favorite blue t-shirt and Billy shared his purple one. Soon there was a pile of shirts in the family room. James smiled and said, “I think we have enough now. Now I need to figure out how to make a blanket.”

Terrific Toys: kids’ relaxation and story

Terrific Toys: kids’ relaxation and story

There are some terrific toys stuck in the bottom of the toy box. Will Alyssa the doll and Uli the unicorn be able to help them out?

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 5:59

Narrator: Male

Terrific Toys Story Excerpt:

“Oh dear.” Alyssa said. “You’ve been stuck down here a while, haven’t you?”

Uli asked, “Would you like to be moved where the kids can find you?”

The toys responded, “We’d love that. Do you think the kids will play with us again?”

“Of course!” Alyssa encouraged. “They just need to see you.”

Uli added. “They’ll be excited to see you again. It will be like you’re a brand new toy! Sometimes, the kids forget to put us where we belong, and that’s how we get lost.”

The kind doll shared their plan. “Blocks we just need to get you back into the block container. Cars, same thing, if you’re with the other cars the kids will play with you.”

The unicorn continued, “Books, you belong on the bookshelf. Puzzle pieces, we have to get you back to the puzzle before the kids discover you’re missing. They might stop playing with the puzzle if we don’t. And stuffed animals, you need to be with the other stuffed animals.”

The toys perked up, feeling confident in the plan, and moved to one side of the toy box. Now Uli and Alyssa had space to organize they got right to work.

Show Time: a mindful children’s story

Show Time: a mindful children’s story

It’s nearly show time for Rogelio, Helen, and Brianna. So, Rogelio searches for a spot in the park to rehearse their original dragon play.

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 7:14

Narrator: Male

Show Time Story Excerpt:

Rogelio resumed his search. He spotted an open area near the forest. Rogelio hurried over to the spot. There was plenty of room. Trees and benches framed the open space. The trees would be helpful to share their story, and the benches were just in the right place for their audience. Yes, this was a good spot to practice, and perform their play for their friends.
As Rogelio admired the spot he had found, Helen snuck up behind him, tapping his shoulder. Startled, Rogelio turned then smiled when he saw Helen.  “This looks like a great spot! Thanks for finding it!” Helen said.
“Thanks! I think it will work well. What do you think about storing our props over there?” Rogelio pointed to the forest.
“That will work great!” Brianna said as she ran up to her two friends, enveloping them in a big hug.

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 8:36

Narrator: Female

Adventures in Time Story Excerpt:

“Hold on.” The girl instructed. “We’re getting ready to travel back in time.” Her brother quickly sat back down and put the toy in his pocket. She added, “Ok, it’s your turn to choose our adventure. When would you like to go? I have the clock ready.”

The boy thought for a moment and replied, “Circle the hands of the clock back four times. Let’s see where we end up.”

“OK, here we go.” The little girl gently twirled the hands of the clock backwards. As she moved the hands, a brilliant orange fog rolled into the living room and surrounded Chance. The little girl twirled the clock hands backwards again and the orange fog began to swirl around the cardboard box. As she moved the clocks hands around a 3rd and 4th time the orange fog swirled faster and faster.

Let’s Play: a bedtime story and mindful story for kids

Let’s Play: a bedtime story and mindful story for kids

Let’s play as Danny and Dory, the dump trucks, race to see who is the fastest. Ellie the excavator gives the signal and they’re off!

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 9:01
Narrator: Male
Let’s Play Story Excerpt:

Dory grinned at Danny. “Do you want to race to see who can move the rocks faster?”

“Great idea!” Danny said. He was up for a challenge. Both dump trucks were sure that they would win the race.

Ellie smiled and said. “Alright then, go line up by the gravel pile. I’ll count down, so you know when to start.”

“OK!” Danny and Dory said together, and they rolled over to the pile, ready for Ellie to start filling their beds. Why don’t you two take some deep dragon breaths while load you up.

“That’s a great idea.” Dory said.

The dump trucks took a deep breath, in and out (deep breath). Ellie rumbled up to the pile of gravel and scooped up the little rocks. Danny and Dory took another deep dragon breath, in and out (deep breath). Ellie positioned her scoop over Dory’s bed. Rocks flowed into her bed rolling like thunder. The two dump trucks took one more, deep dragon breath, in and out (deep breath). Ellie rolled over to Danny. A soothing rumble filled the air, as the little rocks cascaded into Danny’s bed.

Before long both dump trucks were full. Danny and Dory rumbled, eagerly waiting for Ellie to signal the start of their race.

“OK,” Ellie said, “Ready? Set? Go!”
