Adventures in Time: a meditation and bedtime story for children

Adventures in Time: a meditation and bedtime story for children

Chance the cardboard box experiences adventures in time. Today the kids bring Chance back to the ice age. What will they discover this time?

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 8:36

Narrator: Female

Adventures in Time Story Excerpt:

“Hold on.” The girl instructed. “We’re getting ready to travel back in time.” Her brother quickly sat back down and put the toy in his pocket. She added, “Ok, it’s your turn to choose our adventure. When would you like to go? I have the clock ready.”

The boy thought for a moment and replied, “Circle the hands of the clock back four times. Let’s see where we end up.”

“OK, here we go.” The little girl gently twirled the hands of the clock backwards. As she moved the hands, a brilliant orange fog rolled into the living room and surrounded Chance. The little girl twirled the clock hands backwards again and the orange fog began to swirl around the cardboard box. As she moved the clocks hands around a 3rd and 4th time the orange fog swirled faster and faster.

Let’s Play: a bedtime story and mindful story for kids

Let’s Play: a bedtime story and mindful story for kids

Let’s play as Danny and Dory, the dump trucks, race to see who is the fastest. Ellie the excavator gives the signal and they’re off!

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 9:01
Narrator: Male
Let’s Play Story Excerpt:

Dory grinned at Danny. “Do you want to race to see who can move the rocks faster?”

“Great idea!” Danny said. He was up for a challenge. Both dump trucks were sure that they would win the race.

Ellie smiled and said. “Alright then, go line up by the gravel pile. I’ll count down, so you know when to start.”

“OK!” Danny and Dory said together, and they rolled over to the pile, ready for Ellie to start filling their beds. Why don’t you two take some deep dragon breaths while load you up.

“That’s a great idea.” Dory said.

The dump trucks took a deep breath, in and out (deep breath). Ellie rumbled up to the pile of gravel and scooped up the little rocks. Danny and Dory took another deep dragon breath, in and out (deep breath). Ellie positioned her scoop over Dory’s bed. Rocks flowed into her bed rolling like thunder. The two dump trucks took one more, deep dragon breath, in and out (deep breath). Ellie rolled over to Danny. A soothing rumble filled the air, as the little rocks cascaded into Danny’s bed.

Before long both dump trucks were full. Danny and Dory rumbled, eagerly waiting for Ellie to signal the start of their race.

“OK,” Ellie said, “Ready? Set? Go!”

Meditation Description: Imagine floating on a cloud, and relax into the feeling of lightness.

Muddy Mates: a relaxing meditation and bedtime story

Muddy Mates: a relaxing meditation and bedtime story

Charlie gets stuck playing in the woods.  Terry the truck comes by and helps him out. Soon the two trucks are muddy mates.

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 7:11
Narrator: Male
Muddy Mates Story Excerpt:

Charlie was happily rumbling down the road, headed towards a park where he could play.  As the driver turned his wheel, Charlie realized he was there!  And so, he looked around and saw hills to roll over, puddles to splash in, and rocks to climb.  This was going to be a challenging and fun day.  Then Charlie’s driver steered him into the park, and they began climbing hills and splashing in puddles.  The hills grew steeper and the puddles deeper.  Charlie had his winch so he knew he was safe.   The little truck rumbled happily as he steered down the next hill.  Then, Charlie felt his tires slipping.  The mud on this hill was slick.  Charlie tried his hardest to stay on the path, but the mud slip-slided him into a deep puddle right next to a tree.

Charlie took a deep breath, in and out, and his driver got out, as he thought about what to do.  His tires were completely covered by the muddy water. Charlie took another breath in and out.  There was a tree in front of him, so the little truck was going to have to back up. Then one more deep breath in and out. Charlie was stuck.

Toadily Fun: a meditation and calming story

Toadily Fun: a meditation and calming story

Billy and Emily have a toadily fun time searching the woods for a mysterious sound, using their eyes and ears to discover the source. What will they find?

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 8:25
Narrator: Male
Toadily Fun Story Excerpt:

Then Billy put a finger to his mouth, to let Emily know they needed to be quiet.  He could hear the trilling sound again.  “Do you hear that?”  Emily nodded. “That’s what we’re looking for.”  So Emily and Billy, walked quietly and carefully towards the sound.  Tiptoeing up to the forest, the sound grew louder and louder.   Soon, as trees surrounded Billy and Emily, the trilling stopped.  They looked around.  Plants with large heart shaped leaves covered the ground.  Billy and Emily looked at each other, puzzled.  They moved away from the trees and the trilled song began again.  Billy and Emily each stepped towards a tree.  The trilling continued.

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 8:09

Narrator: Female

Double Dump Truck Excerpt:

Hearing the soft clang of a door closing, Danny and Ellie turned to see the Contractor walking towards them.  “Good morning, Ellie and Danny. Today you have a special project. I need you to finish it today. There is a humongous mountain of dirt that needs to be moved. As usual, Ellie you will scoop the dirt into Danny’s bed. And Danny,” the Contractor said flipping a tablet open with a snap, “You’ll move the dirt here.” The Contractor programmed Danny’s navigator so the dump truck knew where to carry the dirt.  Then with a smile the Contractor said to him. “And, I have a surprise for you, Danny.”
