On Ahway Island, there\u2019s something for everyone!<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>

Ahway Island\u00ae<\/span> is home to adventurous airplanes, bubbly boats, caring cars and construction vehicles, friendly forest animals, curious kids, silly sea creatures, our delightful Dragon, terrific toys, exotic animals, our sparkling solar train and so much more! You will always find something new as we add to our extensive library of stories each week. Since 2017, we’ve released approximately 750 episodes – with more releasing every week!<\/p>

Our team is regularly imagining new ways to share the magic of Ahway Island with you.<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>

We are so proud and grateful that Be Calm on Ahway Island\u00ae podcast episodes have become an important part of the bedtime routine for children across the world! Our team is always busy bringing our stories to life. The meditations that open our episodes are especially crafted for children. We have a dozen different meditations that we rotate between episodes for variety. The gentle stories that follow the meditation are carefully designed to be engaging, but not so exciting that they prevent listeners from relaxing. We’re regularly developing our world and our characters based on feedback we receive from our listeners, especially our wonderful Patreon supporters!<\/p>

Our stories work great for nap time too! When you yourself aren\u2019t able to tuck your children into bed, Be Calm on Ahway Island can be a fantastic tool for babysitters and other caregivers. You can enjoy your night out knowing that your kids will be relaxing peacefully in their beds with our friendly voices as part of your kids’ bedtime routine. If you are a babysitter or caregiver, our podcast is a wonderful way to help children settle into bed. When their routine is disrupted and kids miss their parents, they may need a little more soothing. We also notice an uptick in listenership during seasonal changes, such a the start of the new year or new school semesters, when it’s helpful to have a little extra structure and soothing at bedtime!<\/p>

…and, even some grownups find themselves nodding off to our stories! We’ve heard that college kids, parents, and even pets enjoy listening to our meditations and stories as a comforting way to relax and fall asleep.<\/p>

The world of Ahway Island is inclusive and welcoming.<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>
Inclusivity, empathy, acceptance, hospitality, and appreciation are all very important concepts on Ahway Island. We want all children who listen to our show to be able to identify with our characters and see themselves represented on Ahway Island. Our stories particularly encourage empathy and acceptance of others with differences, especially those who are disabled and those who are neurodivergent. Every story ends with the main character feeling gratitude for the important people in their lives. <\/div>

Be Calm on Ahway Island is here to help!<\/span><\/strong><\/h4>

In addition to calming kids, our episodes can be a great way to model and teach emotional regulation. Our podcast helps children learn to self-soothe and calm themselves. (We all can use a little practice with that!) Our characters also model positive problem solving, relationship building, and cooperation. We especially focus on dealing with changes in routines and expectations, as many children feel challenged with sudden alterations in their schedule, at school and at home. During the recent global pandemic, we have all experienced dramatic changes to routines, which has been especially hard on children. We are grateful and humbled that Be Calm on Ahway Island was listed in parenting and local government websites as a resource for children during lock-downs.\u00a0<\/p>

And, although our episodes were originally designed to help kids fall asleep, they can of course be enjoyed any time of day!<\/p>

Mindfulness is a great way to help children with their emotional regulation. Consequently, your kids will practice self-soothing using Deep Dragon Breaths in every episode. With so much practice, it has become second nature for our own team members to regularly take Deep Dragon Breaths any time we begin to feel stressed! You may notice your children doing the same.
