Muddy Mates Story Excerpt:

Charlie was happily rumbling down the road, headed towards a park where he could play.  As the driver turned his wheel, Charlie realized he was there!  And so, he looked around and saw hills to roll over, puddles to splash in, and rocks to climb.  This was going to be a challenging and fun day.  Then Charlie’s driver steered him into the park, and they began climbing hills and splashing in puddles.  The hills grew steeper and the puddles deeper.  Charlie had his winch so he knew he was safe.   The little truck rumbled happily as he steered down the next hill.  Then, Charlie felt his tires slipping.  The mud on this hill was slick.  Charlie tried his hardest to stay on the path, but the mud slip-slided him into a deep puddle right next to a tree.

Charlie took a deep breath, in and out, and his driver got out, as he thought about what to do.  His tires were completely covered by the muddy water. Charlie took another breath in and out.  There was a tree in front of him, so the little truck was going to have to back up. Then one more deep breath in and out. Charlie was stuck.
