207. BCAI: Wheee!: a relaxing story and mindful relaxation

Feeling confident on her bike, Max and Mia go out for a ride and find a little hill. How will Mia do?

Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new story this week. Now, welcome to Favorite Friday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Please enjoy “Wheee!” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday!

Narrator: Male

Final Dragon Breath: 7:01

Wheee! Show Excerpt:

Clouds blanketed the sky, turning it a fluffy grey.  The wind circled the trees, causing the branches to wave and colorful leaves to whirl away.  Max smiled as he felt the breeze tickle his nose and said, “Mia are you ready? Come see this!”

“I’m coming!” Mia said.  She hurried over to Max, her bicycle helmet already on. “Let’s go!” She said.

“Hold on. Look at the trees.”  Max said.

“Wow!” Mia said. “Look at the leaves!”

Max smiled. “I thought you’d like that.”   Reds, golds, orange and browns swirled in the air as the wind carried them away from the trees.  Mia began to dance with the falling leaves, and so did her brother.  Around and around they turned, until the two flopped down on the ground dizzy and giggling.  They laughed until Max asked, “Are you ready to go to the big hill?”

543. A Mountain of Snow!: a meditation and calming story

Sidney Snowplow creates a mountain of snow so the kids can go sledding.

Narrator: Male

Story Begins: 5:23

A Mountain of Snow Excerpt:

It was a windy and snowy morning on Ahway Island. Sidney Snowplow had just woken up in his cozy garage. He felt well rested and ready to start a busy day of snowplowing! Sidney revved his engine as he waited patiently for his driver to hop in and start their fun snow day together. As his engine warmed up, Sidney enjoyed taking a few minutes by himself to enjoy the quiet morning.

Sidney loved to work in the snow, especially when it was freshly fallen. It was like playing in a pile of sugar all day long! Sidney loved how soft and fluffy snow could be, but he also loved how strong it could be when people built forts or figures out of snow.

After a few minutes Sidney’s driver came out to the garage carrying a hot cup of coffee. The driver opened up the big garage door and took a seat in the driver’s seat. Now they were ready to head out into the snow!

205. BCAI: Pumpkin Run: a relaxation and story for your nap time routine

Trenton the tractor has a busy day. The kids are coming back with their parents to share the fun they had on their field trip.

Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new story this week. Now, welcome to Favorite Friday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Please enjoy “Pumpkin Run” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday!

Narrator: Male

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 5:40

Pumpkin Run Show Excerpt:

Sunlight spilled across the fields, lighting up the golden straw Trenton hauled on his trailer. The tractor smiled.  People were coming for a visit today, and Trenton felt excited.  The little yellow tractor would take them on a tour of the whole farm.  Trenton rolled over to the newly mowed grass, that was now a parking lot, to wait for the people to arrive.  As he drove towards the lot the trailer bounced a bit.

Every little bump caused the trailer to bounce, up and down and over to the side.  Trenton hoped that when the people sat on it it would be a little more calm, and intended the visitors to have a nice day.

As the little yellow tractor waited he heard a popping sound in the distance. Trenton looked up and saw the first car drive down the gravel driveway.  The little stones popped up as the car’s tires picked them up and tossed them aside.  The car made its way into the parking lot and stopped.

Parents opened the car door and two little boys hopped out.  Each one holding a parent’s hand.  Their faces lit up when they saw the tractor and one pointed at Trenton.  The family walked over to the tractor as more and more cars drove into the parking lot.  The gravel drive popped and popped.  Before long there was a line of people waiting to hop onto the trailer behind the Trenton.

It was a sunny autumn morning on Ahway Island and Javier was sitting at the kitchen table enjoying some cereal for breakfast.

She was always working hard to make sure that people were happy and healthy on Ahway Island. To celebrate her birthday, Javier wanted to do something special for his mom. As he finished his cereal, a brilliant idea popped into his head.

“I know!” he thought. “I’ll blow up some balloons!” Javier always loved the colorful balloons his mom gave him on his birthday and other special occasions. And if it was hot enough outside, Javier and his mom would fill up water balloons!

537. Harbor Happiness: a calming meditation and children’s story

Teagan Tugboat learns to appreciate her home with the help of her friend, Izzy Icebreaker.

Narrator: Male

Story Begins: 4:34

Harbor Happiness Excerpt:

It was early morning and the sun was just rising over the waters of Ahway Island Bay, making the water look as shiny as diamonds. Teagan Tugboat sat at her dock, patiently floating in the water. She was eager to get the day started.

Today, Teagan was going to see her good friend, Izzy Icebreaker! Today was a day off for both of them. They didn’t need to do any of their usual work, so they could just spend the day together and play! They were going to do all kinds of fun things: race in the river, talk about the beautiful places they’ve been, and even visit some of their other friends, like Manny Motorboat.

Then Izzy was going to stay overnight in the empty dock next to Teagan’s dock. Teagan had been waiting for this day for a long time, so she had planned everything out. All she had to do was wait for Izzy and the day could begin!

203. BCAI: On the Road: a meditation and bedtime story

Dragon discovers some more cars waiting in a line. Wondering what they are waiting for Dragon decides to find out.

Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new story this week. Now, welcome to Favorite Friday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Please enjoy “On the Road” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday!

Narrator: Male

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 7:59

On the Road Show Excerpt:

The rested dragon stretched as sunlight flickered on the floor of the cozy cave.  It was morning and the dragon was ready for another wonderful day.  Taking a deep dragon breath in and out , the dragon thought about its intentions for the day.

So far, meeting the vehicles had been going well. The trucks had been considerate to the forest and seemed pretty fun.  The construction vehicles had been very kind and interesting, and the dragon was invited to visit them again.

Today, however, the dragon was feeling brave and decided to walk over to the road.  The adventurous dragon smiled, stepped out of the cave, and began making its way to the road.

At the edge of the enchanted forest the dragon peeked out from behind a sturdy tree.  On the ground just a little ways away was the road.  The ribbon of gray snaked along the ground just outside the forest.  The dragon watched as a red car, a white car and a black car came whizzing by.  Where were they going, the dragon wondered, and decided to follow the road as long as there was forest next to it.

Today’s Meditation: Imagine floating in a tranquil pool, safe and relaxed, as the water rocks you gently.
