Wave Jump Boogie: a relaxing bedtime story

Wave Jump Boogie: a relaxing bedtime story

Wakely Waverunner heads out to play in the swirling waters of the mouth of the harbor. Between the waves and the boats entering and leaving, Wakely does the wave jump boogie.

Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new story, “Ronald’s Turn”, Monday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Welcome to Favorite Friday! Please enjoy “Wave Jump Boogie” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday!

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 7:04

Narrator: Male

Wave Jump Boogie Excerpt:

The trailer carried Wakely all the way to the lake, and backed down a steep ramp.  As he rolled down the ramp, water rose up, from covering the wheels of the trailer, to tickling Wakely’s belly.  The water splashed under and around him, and the little wave runner relaxed.  His rider released Wakely from the trailer, and he slowly drifted next to the dock.  He enjoyed floating.  Any worries the little wave runner may have had, drifted away with the waves.

His rider tugged Wakely over and snugged him to the dock.  Now the little wave runner waited for his rider to park the truck and trailer.  He was very excited to play on the lake, and could hardly wait to get started.  All this waiting was difficult, so Wakely took a deep dragon breath in and out (deep breath) and then smiled.  The little wave runner realized that waiting gave him some time to just enjoy the sensation of floating.  Wakely rocked gently as the water rolled back and forth, back and forth underneath him.  The lake seemed pretty calm today.

Wakely was just getting in to the rhythm of the water when his rider returned.  His motor rumbled and the little wave runner moved away from the dock.  Wakely wanted to zip right out into the lake, but he knew he needed to move slowly in the entrance to the harbor, and watch for other boats.  So, he took his time and carefully made his way out to the lake.  Once the little wave runner had made it out onto the lake, he turned up his engine and began zipping around in an open area.

Today’s Meditation: Relax in the grass as you imagine sunlight warming you from head to toe.

Ronald’s Turn: a calming kids’ story

Ronald’s Turn: a calming kids’ story

The bridge project is almost done. Today is Ronald’s turn to shine. The roller gets to put the finishing touches on the bridge!

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 9:05

Narrator: Male

Ronald’s Turn Excerpt:

“We get to finish the bridge today!” Dizzy said. “Are you excited Ronald?” Ronald smiled and said, “Absolutely!” Although he started to feel a little sad. That was the second time someone mentioned that the bridge would be finished today. It would be completed, and the roller had hardly done anything. Ronald took a deep breath, in and out (deep breath) and concentrated on the fun he would have working with the team today. While Ronald talked himself back up, the contractor joined the construction vehicles.

“Good morning, everyone. Today, as I’m sure you all know, we’ll be finishing up the bridge. Barry the Barge will meet us at the water again and is ready to carry you across. Connor, Barry will help you place the slabs that Dizzy poured last week. Ellie, Barry will carry you, Danny and Dory to add the asphalt. Ronald, you’ll finish up by smoothing the road out. Dizzy, we don’t have anything for you today. We’ll see you when we get back.” Then with a smile the Contractor said. “OK! Let’s get this done.”

Today’s Meditation: Feel your muscles relax as you check in with your body from head to toe.

Buzzy Bugs: a mindful bedtime story

Buzzy Bugs: a mindful bedtime story

The air is filled with the song of buzzy bugs. Simon cicada wakes up from his nap, climbs out of his shell and searches for a friend.

Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new story, “Dock Dog”, Monday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Welcome to Favorite Friday! Please enjoy “Buzzy Bugs” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday!

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 7:35

Narrator: Male

Buzzy Bugs Excerpt:

Light streamed onto Simon’s face as he broke through the surface.  The little Cicada blinked, to get accustomed to the brightness.  As Simon pulled himself out of the earth, his body began to feel tight and tough.  He shook off the dirt, and looked around. He saw bright green grass, and a thick, sturdy tree trunk.  The little Cicada had emerged right next to a tree.  Simon decided to climb it, and see what else was around him. Slowly, Simon pulled himself up the trunk of the tree.  His body felt tighter and tighter.  Simon had grown a lot while resting in the dirt!  He needed to leave his armor behind.  So the little Cicada anchored himself on the trunk, and began to squeeze out of his shell.

Simon blinked again, as his fresh eyes saw the details of the flaky bark on the trunk.  The little cicada was curious to see how much he had changed, as he relaxed in the earth.  Simon looked at his body.  He had delicate wings on his back, and was now a bright green instead of the brownish color he had been before.  Next to him, his armor was hanging on to the trunk of the tree.  It was a little weird to see the mold of his old body, just hanging there.  He fluttered his wings a bit to dry them off, and then stretched them.  As soon as his wings were dry, Simon left the trunk to find a nice branch to rest on and watch the world.

Today’s Meditation: Imagine floating on a cloud, and relax into the feeling of lightness.

Dock Dog: a kids’ guided relaxation and calming story

Dock Dog: a kids’ guided relaxation and calming story

It’s an incredible day on the sea! Darcy the dock dog asks for her life jacket. She wants to be ready to go for a boat ride. Will she get one?

Hello everyone!  Ok, Dog lovers today is National Dog Day, and as promised, our new story, “Dock Dog”, celebrates another one of our furry friends. Enjoy!

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 6:24
Narrator: Male

Dock Dog Excerpt:

Then Darcy hurried over to her home.  Nudging her person she pointed to her life jacket. The lovable fluffy dog knew she needed her life jacket to go for a boat ride and she wanted to be prepared. The person laughed and said. “Is it a good day for a boat ride, Darcy? You’re right, you need your life jacket.”

Darcy’s person helped her into the bright orange foam and snapped the latch closed. The jacket hugged the fluffy dog snuggly around her back and belly. She even had a handle on her back, so people could help Darcy get on the boat, if she slipped into the water.  With her life jacket on, Darcy was ready for a boat ride.

The Enchanting Woods: a kids’ meditation and story

The Enchanting Woods: a kids’ meditation and story

Rogelio’s family is going camping. Rogelio would prefer to play with his tablet. How will Rogelio react to the enchanting woods?

Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new story, “Silly Scooters”, Monday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Welcome to Favorite Friday! Please enjoy “The Enchanting Woods” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday!

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 9:01

Narrator: Male

The Enchanting Woods Excerpt:

“Now what do we do?” Rogelio asked.

“We should set up the campfire.  Would you help me carry the wood we got at the ranger’s station?” his dad asked.  Rogelio replied “OK.” as he helped his dad carry the firewood from the fire to the campsite.

Once Rogelio and his dad had carried the firewood to the campsite, his mom and dad started arranging it.  Now, Rogelio decided, it would be a good time to use his tablet.  He opened his bag, and pulled the tablet out.  Rogelio pressed the button.  It was still dark.  Rogelio pushed the button again and it flickered to life… just long enough to tell him that it needed to be recharged.  He had forgotten to charge it, and there was nowhere to plug it in out in the woods.

Today’s Meditation: Deep dragon breaths are a key part of this guided meditation as you relax your body from your toes up to the top of your head.

While two silly scooters are zipping around on a driveway, they notice a little hill. Listen as they have some fun on a beautiful afternoon.

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 7:01
Narrator: Male

Silly Scooters Excerpt:

The boy sat down on one scooter and began zipping around, and the girl hopped on the other. Su and Skyler smiled, happy to be playing. The two scooters zigged and zagged around each other. As the scooters rolled across the top of the driveway Su noticed they were at the top of a hill and said to Skyler, “Wouldn’t it be fun if we rolled down the hill.”
“Oh, I don’t know Su. We might go too fast. And then how will we get back up. I’d rather stay here.” As Skyler said that, one kid scooted to the edge of the hill with Su, then with a “Whee!!” off they went. Skyler felt afraid to look. However, the boy giggled and rolled to the edge of the hill.
