Kitten Love: a relaxing bedtime story

Kitten Love: a relaxing bedtime story

Zara the cat carefully guides her adopted duckling, Dylan, to breakfast. She shows the duckling her most sincere kitten love throughout the day.

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 7:20

Narrator: Male

Kitten Love Excerpt:

Sunlight spilled through the drapes right onto Zara the kitten’s bed. The little kitten stretched her paws out as far as she could. She purred, grateful for the warmth of the morning sun. As Zara purred, Dylan the duckling began to coo. Zara smiled and gently licked the fluffy yellow duckling’s head, grooming his feathers. Dylan hopped up and wobbled out of the cozy cat bed. Zara followed the duckling, grooming Dylan as he waddled away. Then the little kitten stopped grooming. Her little pink tongue stuck out of her mouth as she listened intently to sounds coming from the kitchen. Then Zara heard the little girl call, “Zara, breakfast!”

Splashes and Smiles: a kids’ relaxation and story

Splashes and Smiles: a kids’ relaxation and story

Wade the inner tube splashes and smiles as he plays on the lazy river and even tries the water slide with a new friend. How will he like it?

Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new story “Pirate Queen” on Monday. Now, welcome to Favorite Friday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Please enjoy “Splashes and Smiles and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday!

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 11:06

Narrator: Male

Splashes and Smiles Excerpt:

Wade wondered what would happen next.  Then the boy carried the raft right over to the water slide.  And this is what Wade was most worried about.  Up, up, up, they went.  The worried raft noticed all the twists and bends in the slide.  As they waited in line Wade took a deep dragon breath in and out (deep breath) and told himself everything would be fine.  After all, he had worried about both waterfalls on the lazy river, and both were completely safe, and a bit fun.  He liked hearing the boy laugh, and judging from the look on the boy’s face this slide would make him laugh a lot.  As a result, the raft was feeling much better as he reached the top of the slide. Now He knew everything would be fine.  They would follow the rules, and have fun.

The boy set the raft down at the top of the slide, sat on top, and waited for the lifeguard to say it was OK to go.  Then the little boy held on tight. Wade slid from side to side, back and forth, splashing through the water on the slide.  With each turn the raft glided up the side of the slide, and then back down.  The boy was laughing now.  Finally, they reached the straight  part of the slide, slipping down into the water. Wade landed with a splash!  The boy laughed and laughed, and the raft smiled.  It had been fun.  There was nothing to worry about.

Hello! a relaxing short story and meditation

Hello! a relaxing short story and meditation

Tanner toad greets a new friend with the customary “Hello!” Since the other toad doesn’t respond, Tanner tries a different approach.

Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new story “Batty Dragon” on Monday. Now, welcome to Favorite Friday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Please enjoy “Hello!” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday!
Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 7:36

Narrator: Male

Hello! Excerpt:

It was time for a break in the shade. Tanner knew where to go, his favorite spot under the ferns.  There was enough shade there to cool off, with a little bit of sunlight filtering through the airy leaves.  So, off Tanner hop, hop, hopped over to the ferns.  When he got there, he saw another toad in his spot, facing away.  Tanner hadn’t seen this toad before, and became excited.  Maybe he would make a new friend!  Eagerly the little toad hopped over to the fern and said, “Hi! I’m Tanner!”  The other toad stayed in place with his back to Tanner.  Tanner felt sad the toad was ignoring him and then annoyed.  Why did this toad think he could sit in Tanner’s favorite spot and then ignore him.  That was just rude.  Tanner decided he would tell the other toad how he felt, when suddenly there was a big rumbling sound.

A truck drove by on the street. It was so loud, that it hurt Tanner’s head.  He held a big leaf over his head to block the noise and watched the truck go by.  Tanner felt relieved after the loud noise rumbled away, and sighed.  Then he looked back at the other toad, who was still facing the other direction.  Now Tanner was puzzled.  That was a really loud noise, why hadn’t the other toad even looked?  Could the other toad hear it?

Batty Dragon: a relaxing meditation and bedtime story

Batty Dragon: a relaxing meditation and bedtime story

Dragon notices something zipping across the night sky. The little bat invites Dragon for a snack and our batty dragon zig-zags along.

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 5:34

Narrator: Male

Batty Dragon Excerpt:

In the fading sunlight a dark shape zipped around against the sky. The shape quickly flew one way and then another, zig-zagging across the field.

Dragon wondered what it could be. As the sky darkened and Dragon lost track of the zig-zagging shape. Soon the stars and moon sparkled brightly above. Dragon walked along staring up at the twinkling sky with a smile of contentment. Occasionally something covered up a few stars here, a few stars there. Then, as Dragon wondered what was blocking the stars, something zipped right up to Dragon’s nose and hovered in front.

“Oh, hi! I’m Bertie.” Dragon heard the little bat say, wings flapping. Dragon smiled and nodded.

Dragon Magic: a children’s meditation and story

Dragon Magic: a children’s meditation and story

Hoping to share Dragon magic with the people, Dragon takes some deep breaths and ponders how to meet people without frightening them.

Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new story “Changing Winds” on Monday. Now, welcome to Favorite Friday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Today we’re sharing our very first Dragon story! Please enjoy “Dragon Magic!” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday!

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 10:50

Narrator: Male

Dragon Magic Excerpt:

Still, the curious dragon wondered why people acted so strangely.  A magnificent tail flipped back and forth, back and forth as the little dragon thought and thought.  The dragon was bigger than the people. Remembering that the animals had also been afraid at first, the dragon wondered if size was the reason.  Then the dragon thought about what had changed, so that the bunnies, deer, birds, frogs, toads, turtles, and bears felt comfortable.  The dragon waited patiently and quietly.

Eventually, the animals approached.  Once one came near, others felt safe.  Oh, that’s right, the animals worried the dragon would eat them.  Was that what the people were worried about?  Yuck.  What a silly thought.  A person couldn’t possibly taste as good as roasted brussel sprouts, or roasted carrots, or roasted sweet potatoes; certainly not as good as an apple, orange or banana.  Having figured out the source of the fear, the gentle dragon knew waiting patiently was a good idea.  Fortunately, the wait was almost over.

Today’s Meditation: Today, you will focus on relaxing your body a little bit at a time.  Starting with your feet, moving up to the top of your head, and ending with a focus on your entire body, you are sure to feel calm and relaxed.

Changing Winds: a kids’ relaxation and calming tale

Changing Winds: a kids’ relaxation and calming tale

During a relaxing sail Sandy the sailboat notices the changing winds. To keep her crew safe from the storm, she heads back to the harbor.

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 9:31

Narrator: Male

Changing Winds Excerpt:

Sandy motored away from the harbor to a spot where she could put up her sails. The colorful stretches of fabric filled up with wind until they were stretched tight. Sandy could feel the wind moving her through the water and took a deep dragon breath, in and out (deep breath) relaxing in the peace of the morning. The wind carried the sailboat out and Sandy enjoyed gliding across the water. Sandy looked around. She loved to gaze at the deep turquoise blue water. Then the sailboat noticed the sky looked different. On one side, the sky was growing dark. On her other side it was very bright. Sandy knew immediately what was happening. A storm was on its way.

Today’s Meditation: Feel your muscles relax as you check in with your body from head to toe.
