Time Travels: an original short story for kids

Today’s Story (EP301): Time Travels: an original short story for kids

Clever kids turn Chance the Cardboard box into a time machine and visit some dinosaurs.  Will their time travels bring them back in time for lunch?

Today’s Meditation:

Imagine floating on a cloud, and relax into the feeling of lightness.

Here’s an excerpt from this children’s story:

A sunbeam slipped through the living room curtains warming the kitten in the cardboard box. The little kitty purred and rolled onto his back. Chance the cardboard box enjoyed the peaceful, serene moment. The sound of giggling drifted down the hall. Chance smiled, knowing that it was about time for another adventure. The little kitty perked up his ears and listened. He wasn’t going to give up his spot in the sun unless he had to. Sure enough, the kids skipped down the hall. As they saw Chance they asked, “Ready for today’s adventure?” That was enough for the fluffy kitten. It was time to find another spot to nap. The two kids hopped into the cardboard box just missing the little kitty.

Today’s Bedtime Story (EP49): Something New: a nap time story and guided meditation for kids

Ian goes to his friend Mike’s house and they play with different toys than they usually do.  Mike helps Ian with the change.
Today’s Relaxing Meditation:

Deep dragon breaths are a key part of this guided meditation as you relax your body from your toes up to the top of your head.

Podcast Episode Story Excerpt:

Ian was excited. Today, he was going over to his friend Mike’s house. He had been looking forward to it all week. Ian enjoyed creating things with blocks, and so did Mike. Individually, they came up with fantastic designs. Together, they made truly incredible things! The morning seemed like a year as Ian waited to go to Mike’s house. Finally, it was time! Ian walked over with his mom. When he got to Mike’s door, the door opened before he even knocked. Mike was grinning ear to ear. “ Are you ready?” He asked. “Always!” Ian replied. Ian took his shoes off by the door, and hung his coat on a hook. The two boys ran up the stairs to Mike’s room.

Bedtime Story Excerpt:

Wanda was excited to go to the beach! It was her first day of vacation and she loved the water. As her parents settled into the chaise lounges at the seaside, Wanda headed towards the water’s edge. The water glistened as the rays of the sun flickered across its surface. It sure was beautiful. As she stood on the shore, the ocean’s waves lapped at her feet. Moving in and out, pulling some sand with each roll in, and pushing crushed shells out with every crash. She loved the feel of the sand melting away under her feet. It tickled!

Today’s Meditation:  Imagine floating on a cloud, and relax into the feeling of lightness.

Story Excerpt “Emily and Billy stared at the futuristic box sitting on the shelf in the toy store.  It had everything they wanted. There were long and short blocks, connectors of all kinds, wheels, and even programmable boards to make robots.  Billy and Emily closed their eyes and imagined everything they could make with a set like that. Then Emily said, “Wow! There’s so much we can do. Can we get that robot set?” looking at her dad.”
