A Royal Kitten’s Bliss: a meditation and calming bedtime story

A Royal Kitten’s Bliss: a meditation and calming bedtime story

Light dancing on the wall excites Prince Grey Kitty. As the light moves around the room the grey kitten dances too, feeling a royal kitten’s bliss.

Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new story, Show Time, Monday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again, so now we have “Favorite Friday.” Please enjoy A Royal Kitten’s Bliss, and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday!
Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 8:52
Narrator: Male

A Royal Kitten’s Bliss Story Excerpt:

Prince Grey Kitty slowly rolled back onto his tummy and stretched his front paws out as far as he could. The little kitty arched his back and sat down.  Now it was time to tidy up, and Prince Grey Kitty took his time cleaning one soft paw.  As he picked up his other paw to clean, the little kitty noticed, out of the corner of his green eyes, a flickering light on the ceiling.  What was it?  Prince Grey Kitty stopped licking his fur and tilted his head to one side and then the other.   He was trying to observe the moving pattern of light on the ceiling from every possible angle.

The little kitty wondered if the glittering light could talk.  He meowed, and then waited to see what would happen.  The twinkling light was quiet.  Maybe it hadn’t heard him. Prince Grey Kitty meowed again a little bit louder.  Still there was no sound from the dancing light.  There had to be some way to get the light’s attention.

Baby Duck Parade: mindfulness and story for your bedtime routine

Baby Duck Parade: mindfulness and story for your bedtime routine

A family of mallard ducks wants to go to a nearby pond. The baby duck parade travels under, over, around, and through various obstacles on their way.

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 8:03
Narrator: Female
Baby Duck Parade Story Excerpt:

The little ducks walked through the grass.  The warm sun shined down on their backs, causing the ducklings to feel a little hot.  Then, up ahead they noticed something different.  There was a dark opening.  In addition, the ducks could feel cool air as they waddled closer.  It was a bridge, and the little ducks were heading under it.  The ducks and ducklings took a deep breath in and out (deep breath) as they enjoyed the chill of the air in the short tunnel.  Before long, they had passed through the tunnel.  Papa counted 1,2,3,4,5,6, and 7.  All the little ducks had made it under the bridge.  Now they were back in the glistening sun.

Today’s Meditation: Today, enjoy the feeling of your body relaxing into the warm sand on a sunny beach.

Then Kian noticed someone hopping off to his side. The koala turned to see a kangaroo bouncing along. The kangaroo stood still for a moment to check out the area. As she did, a baby kangaroo peeked out of her pouch.  “Look Kiera, a joey kangaroo!” Kian said. The Joey hopped out of his mother’s pouch and both kangaroos began to nibble on the grass. Five Little Fish: a children’s bedtime story and meditation

Five Little Fish: a children’s bedtime story and meditation

Five little fish explore the sea, just outside their colorful coral home. They swim up towards the water’s surface. What will they find?

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 8:38
Narrator: Male
Five Little Fish Story Excerpt:

The five little fish decided to go explore away from their colorful coral beds. So, Fish one led the way through a maze of softly swaying sea plants. Then the five little fish emerged from the plants and admired the wide open sea ahead of them. A shadow floated over the five little fish. Curious to see what was blocking the sun, the five little fish looked up. The shadow seemed to use four flippers to effortlessly flow through the water. Fish two decided to get a closer look and zipped up towards the gentle animal. Immediately, fish two recognized the animal and then zipped back to share the discovery with the others. “It’s a sea turtle! Let’s go play!” Fish two said. In a flash all the fish happily swam up towards the turtle.

Today’s Meditation: Imagine floating in a tranquil pool, safe and relaxed, as the water rocks you gently.

Soaring in the Sky: a relaxing meditation and kid’s story

Soaring in the Sky: a relaxing meditation and kid’s story

Hazen Hawk is soaring in the sky and watching what is happening below.  What will he see on the ground below before his nap?

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 6:47
Narrator: Male
Soaring in the Sky Story Excerpt:

Hazen stretched out his wings and flapped them strongly downward, lifting him off the branch.  The little hawk was off to see what he could see.  He flew up as high as he could.  White fluff gently surrounded him, and then the little hawk was through the clouds.  Above, Hazen could see and feel the bright warm sun.  He looked around at the brilliantly blue sky, and then turned his gaze downward.  Hazen saw the blanket of clouds stretch across the sky, though now there were some open spots where he could see the tiniest patch of earth.  He wondered if the Great Oak was in that sliver of sunlight.  Now warmed by the sun, Hazen decided he would fly a little lower so that he could see what was happening on the ground.

Today’s Meditation: Relax in the grass as you imagine sunlight warming you from head to toe.

Dragon’s New Toy: a mindful children’s story

Dragon’s New Toy: a mindful children’s story

Dragon finds a beautiful rose garden and lays down to rest, snuggling with a cozy blanket. Will Dragon’s new toy help Dragon find a new friend?

Final 3 Dragon Breaths: 7:43
Narrator: Male
Dragon’s New Toy Story Excerpt:

Enjoying the soft floral fragrance, Dragon held the blanket up to its face and nuzzled it.  Feeling calm, happy, and secure Dragon hugged the blanket once again. Dragon realized someone loved this bright yellow blanket and was probably missing it.
Slowly, Dragon walked along.  The trees seemed to be pointing Dragon down a particular path. Slowly, and deliberately stepping to avoid the tree roots jutting out from the ground, Dragon walked along the twisting and turning path.  Up ahead, Dragon noticed a sunbeam had weaved through the tree canopy, lighting up the forest floor.  Reaching the sunbeam, Dragon stopped, closed its eyes, and enjoyed the warmth of the light on its skin.
