402. Tumbling Tabby: a children’s bedtime story and meditation

Grubby Kitty discovers packing peanuts — and makes a mess! But Dad is very patient.

Hello everyone!  We hope you enjoyed our new stories this week. Now, welcome to Favorite Friday! Sometimes we like to listen to our favorites again. Please enjoy “Tumbling Tabby,” and we’ll be back with a new story on Monday!

Narrator: Male

Story Begins: 8:16

Tumbling Tabby Excerpt:

The afternoon sun poured through the big kitchen window onto the shelf placed under the window. The shelf was covered with some pretty fabric with flowers on it; Mom had put the fabric on the shelf to protect the shelf from scratches, but Grubby Kitty liked to think that she had put it there just for him, because it made a very cozy place to sleep. Grubby Kitty had discovered this wonderful napping location quite recently, and so this afternoon, like every other afternoon for the last two weeks, Grubby was curled up on the fabric, taking a nap in the warmth of the sun.

But suddenly, ding-dong! The front doorbell rang. Grubby woke up with a shake. From
the other room, he heard Dad walk to the door, open it, and shout out “thank you!” Grubby was a little startled at first, as he had been deeply asleep and the noise surprised him. But he took a couple of big Dragon Breaths and felt much better. He stretched and yawned. Now he was wide awake and felt like exploring. Who had been at the door?
